Postpartum Doula Care- $16 per hour
- support for your new family, in your home, by demonstrating basic newborn care, breastfeeding support, postpartum planning and organizing, light housekeeping, meal and snack preparation, errands, care of older children and baby, and informational and emotional support. We also provide a caring and sensitive ear to new moms and dads.
Two Week Meal Helper- $100
Includes:
meal planning for one-two week period (breakfast, lunch, supper, snacks) for your family
nutrition information
one visit to the grocery store to pick up food for two weeks and putting the groceries away
- preparing and freezing three simple meals such as chicken noodle soup, lasagna, casseroles, etc. I am used to cooking with a variety of ingredients and cuisines, including vegetarian (cost of food not included)
Personalized Childbirth Class- $120 for 5 hour course
- offered privately, or in groups if available for discounted fee
- prepares family for an informed and prepared pregnancy, birth, and initial postpartum period
- Topics in curriculum include:
- how to determine the best birth setting for you
- how to choose your birth team
- how to understand and work with the physical and emotional changes of pregnancy, birth and postpartum period
- diet and exercise for healthy pregnancy
- writing a birth plan
- vaginal birth after cesarean
- relaxation and comfort techniques during labor
- positions for making labor more comfortable
- avoiding unnecessary cesareans and interventions
- remaining empowered when interventions are required
- caring for yourself and baby after birth
- community resources for postpartum support
- Extensive lending library and continuing support included
Expanded Childbirth Class- $300 for 7 week series
- offered with other couples
- designed to meet the needs of the individual couple in a group setting
- includes all topics listed for the personalized childbirth class with wider and more in-depth scope
Infant Massage Classes- Individual or group classes- Prices vary
- learn techniques to calm and soothe your baby
- learn how massage can enhance attatchment between you and baby as well as promote infant development
- each session is approximately one hour
- great for gassy or colicky babies
Breastfeeding Class- $50 (before birth of baby)
- for 2 1/2 hour class
- Learn information about milk supply, proper latch, planning for breastfeeding, planning for returning to work, problems to look for and how to solve them and more
Breastfeeding Consult- $50 (after birth of baby)
- In home consult
- Length of visit varies--typically 2-3 hours
- Includes general breastfeeding support, problem solving, identifying issues and how to resolve them, nutrition, information on pumping, guidance on proper latch and breast care, and more.
- Follow up phone support. Subsequent visits are $30.
- In some cases it may be necessary to refer to an IBCLC for complex breastfeeding issues
Postpartum Planning Session- $55
- 2-3 hour session to help plan for the new arrival
- Look at problem solving, organization of the home, planning for meals and mom care after the birth, gathering resources, organization of the nursery, checklist for what to buy or put on baby registry, as well as addressing the needs and concerns of your family during the postpartum period
Overnight Respite- $160-200 per night (limited availability)
From 10pm-6am (hours negotiable)
Nursing mothers- baby care during the night. I bring baby to you to breastfeed. Complete nightime care not available as it will interfere with successful breastfeeding.
Formula feeding mothers- complete nightime baby care
